Jul announces the release date and tracklist of his new album!

Jul announces the release date and tracklist of his new album! “When does he fade away?” This question, pondered by many critics of the Marseille rapper, is the title of his latest album. At the very beginning of his career, when Jul unveiled his album Dans ma Paranoïa nearly 10 years ago, the Phocaean rapper had only a following that saw him as the precursor of a revolution. More than a dozen projects have followed since, whether they were free or paid, and today, the artist is respected by all. Like Sofiane with 93 Empire, DJ Quick, and others, he succeeds in uniting the rap scene by bringing together all generations of Marseille residents with 13 Organisé, reconciling the founding members of IAM with an album that even incorporates autotune. Then, he organized a gigantic “classico” between Paris and Marseille in his second collective album. In 2023, the artist was one of the three most listened to artists on Spotify, alongside Gazo and Ninho. No, he will never fade away.

Jul announces the release date and tracklist of his new album!

On December 8th, Jul will unveil his album La route est longue. He has also just revealed the list of tracks on this album. A few years ago, the Marseille rapper was a guest on Mouloud Achour’s show Clique. The Canal+ journalist then told him that, during his vacations, amateur rappers had told him that he was making music “in the style of Jul.” As surprising as it may seem, Jul’s style, which gradually became Marseille rap, has found its place all over France and even in Europe. From Morad in Spain to the polar Sweden, the style of the Marseille rapper generates enthusiasm.

The project La Route est Longue constitutes a true reunion of the jet set of French-speaking rap, notably with the presence of Alonzo on the track La Fusion, probably in reference to DBZ, Tiakola on Miné sur Paname, and finally J’fais le plaisir de la zone with SDM. Alonzo and Jul have collaborated on numerous occasions since the beginning of the Marseille artist’s career, especially on La Selecea, Comme d’hab, and on collective projects. However, SDM and Tiakola will make their debut alongside Jul for this project.

Jul has unveiled a second excerpt from his new project this week, as planned, following the release of J’fais que danser on November 3rd. We eagerly await this new project.
