Hamza unveils the powerful “Drifté”!
The instrumental composition of the track is signed by Ponko and Hamza himself. Petar Ponkovic, also known as Ponko, is an iconic figure in Belgian music production and has been accompanying Hamza since the beginning of his career. He is the author of his first hit “Life,” as well as the excellent “BXL Zoo,” in collaboration with Dems. The instrumental has a distinctive, almost Pop vibe, and the artist sings more than he raps. Considering that his discography includes the project “140 BPM 2,” dedicated to Drill music, it’s clear that Hamza has multiple talents.
The music video is as “stylish” as the track, a hallmark of artists like Hamza and SCH, who bring a genuine coherence to all aspects of their music. They even considered collaborating on a joint project, which unfortunately never came to fruition. The visuals are composed of images in the style of VHS (or treated as such), a deliberate stylistic choice. This intimate atmosphere was created by Ben Dorado and Pablo Jomaron. The former is a graphic designer, director, illustrator, and art director originally from Nantes, known for his close 10-year collaboration with Ateyaba (formerly known as Joke), for whom he has created several visuals.
